Pixar Pal-A-Round
lowPixar Pier
The wheel features two distinct gondola experiences. Non-swinging gondolas travel smoothly around the wheel — classic Ferris wheel motion, great for families and toddlers, with unobstructed views at 150 feet. Swinging gondolas slide on internal rails, creating a dramatic pendulum effect that is far more intense than it looks from the ground — at the top of the rotation the swinging reaches its maximum, giving a sensation of being flung outward. Both gondola types seat approximately 8 guests and are enclosed with glass windows. The swinging queue is usually longer. Either way, the views of the entire Disneyland Resort from the top are among the best in any Southern California theme park.

Radiator Springs Racers
moderateCars Land
The queue winds through a stunningly detailed recreation of Radiator Springs at dusk — neon signs, Cozy Cone Motel, Ramone's House of Body Art. Guests board six-person ride vehicles and travel through a dark ride sequence featuring Lightning McQueen, Ramone, and Luigi and Guido before being lined up side-by-side with a competing car for the race finale. The racing portion accelerates to around 40 mph through the Cadillac Range landscape — wind in your face, competing car alongside. The evening experience, when Cars Land neon lights up, is even more magical than the daytime ride.

Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT!
extremeAvengers Campus
The queue is its own event — a museum of the Collector's acquisitions including actual Guardians characters imprisoned in glass cases. The pre-show features Rocket Raccoon plotting your escape mission. Once the doors open, you're treated to a view of DCA 183 feet up before the drop sequence begins — multiple randomized drops and ascents synced to classic rock tracks including songs by The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. The final drop is the biggest and comes with a full-screen visual moment perfectly timed to the music climax.
