About this ride

The trail winds through a beautifully maintained grove of redwoods featuring rope bridge crossings, a ranger station, animal tracking exhibits, climbing walls, and tunnels under rocks and logs. Designed for physical play in a way that almost no other theme park area provides. Best suited for kids aged 4–12 who need to burn energy.

Best time to ride

Mid-morning to early afternoon — cooler temperatures and natural shade make it more comfortable. Great strategic break when kids need active outdoor play time.

Insider tips

• This is the best-kept secret in DCA for families with energetic kids. Almost no one goes here.
• The rope bridges and climbing structures are more physically engaging than anything else in either park.
• Real redwood trees provide genuine shade — a rare and welcome relief on hot DCA days.
• Located just above Grizzly River Run — combine both as a Grizzly Peak morning cluster.
• Rangers (cast members) sometimes appear for brief wilderness education interactions.
