Pixar Pal-A-Round — Swinging Gondolas

About this ride

As the wheel rotates, swinging gondolas slide along the internal rail system of the wheel's structure, causing them to swing outward and backward in a pendulum arc that is far more dramatic than it looks from outside. At the top of the wheel — 150 feet up — the swinging effect is at its maximum, creating a sensation of being flung in multiple directions. The gondolas are enclosed, seating approximately 8 guests each.

Any time — waits are modest. Best experienced at dusk when the park is lit up below.

• If you want the full Pal-A-Round experience without intense swinging, choose the non-swinging gondolas instead.
• The views from the top are spectacular — Anaheim, the resort, and on clear days mountains and ocean.
• The swinging is most intense when the gondola reaches the top of the rotation — brace yourself.
• Guests who get motion sickness from spinning/swinging may want to avoid this variant.
