About this ride

The iconic Mark VII Monorail loops around the perimeter of Disneyland and passes through the Downtown Disney area. Less of a theme park ride and more of a scenic transportation experience, the Monorail offers elevated views of the park and resort. Currently undergoing refurbishment (closed as of March 30, 2026) for infrastructure upgrades to support pillars and electrical systems.

Best time to ride

Afternoon when feet are tired — use it as a rest and transport option.

  • Great way to enter the park from the Disneyland Hotel side
