About this ride
Riders board a Lenny the Cab vehicle and spin through a sequence of Toontown scenes featuring characters from the 1988 film. The vehicles can be controlled to spin by turning the wheel in the center of the cab, though the ride also spins automatically during certain scenes.
Best time to ride
When it reopens from refurbishment. Check the Disneyland app for current operating status.
Insider tips
- Turn the wheel constantly to control your spin — the more aggressive you spin, the dizzier the experience.
- Good introduction to spinning dark rides for toddlers before Mad Tea Party.
- Check the Disneyland app for current operating status before your visit.
What to know before you ride
- Spinning motion — can cause dizziness, especially if you aggressively control the spin mechanism.
- Mild darkness in some scenes.

Mateo's Take
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin is a genuinely fun dark ride that doesn't get the credit it deserves. The spinning mechanic gives you real agency over your experience in a way most dark rides don't, and the 1988 film's energy translates surprisingly well into the Toontown environment. My recommendation is to spin aggressively from the moment you board. The more you work that wheel, the more physically engaging the whole sequence becomes. On a short visit or a first trip, this isn't a must-do: if the wait is over 30 minutes and you haven't hit Indiana Jones or Space Mountain, save your time. But on a second or third visit to the park, or on a day when you're specifically exploring Toontown with kids, Roger Rabbit is a reliable good time. Check operating status in the Disneyland app before walking over.

View all →Rise of the Resistance is the most ambitious, most immersive, and most technically jaw-dropping attraction Walt Disney Imagineering has ever built. Before you ever step into a ride vehicle, you've already experienced a life-size Star Destroyer hangar bay, live First Order stormtroopers, a full-scale AT-AT walker, and Kylo Ren himself.

Indiana Jones Adventure is the crown jewel of Adventureland — and honestly, one of the best theme park attractions ever built, full stop. You're boarding a troop transport jeep and blasting off into the Temple of the Forbidden Eye alongside Indy himself, dodging booby traps, fire, a giant rolling boulder, and a very unhappy snake. The queue alone is worth 30 minutes of your day.

Haunted Mansion is the quintessential Disney dark ride — spooky, witty, and endlessly detailed. You board a Doom Buggy for a guided tour through a grand manor populated by 999 happy haunts. The Disneyland version is the longest Haunted Mansion in any Disney park worldwide, with a unique outdoor section through the New Orleans bayou.
