Quick Take

Incredicoaster needs 48 inches, per Disney, which is taller than the 40 and 42 inch lines on other DCA rides in the table below. It is a Lightning Lane Multi Pass ride, so settle the height question before anyone gets in line. If your whole group clears 48 inches, this is the coaster to build a DCA thrill day around. If someone doesn't, spend your Multi Pass booking on a ride the whole group can share.

Introduction

Incredicoaster is a launched steel roller coaster in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure. Per Disney's attraction page for this ride (read October 12, 2026), guests join the Incredibles in a mad dash to catch baby Jack-Jack, whose superpowers have him teleporting from tunnel to tunnel.

This guide answers the five questions people ask before they ride: whether it is worth the wait, how tall you need to be, which Lightning Lane pass covers it, what to know before riding, and when to ride. Facts about Disney come from Disney's pages with the read date. Ride length and ride type numbers come from our ride data. Opinion stays in Mateo's Take.

Is Incredicoaster worth the wait?

Our ride data flags Incredicoaster as a must-ride, with a thrill level of high (thrill score 4). Check the live wait in the Disneyland app on the day.

The ride is short: our ride data lists a ride length of 3 minutes. Here is how it compares with other DCA rides that have a height requirement, with sources noted below the table:

Thrill scores in the table come from our ride data. Incredicoaster's height is per Disney's attraction page (read October 12, 2026). The 42-inch heights and Multi Pass status for Grizzly River Run and Goofy's Sky School are per Disney's attraction pages and Lightning Lane page (read October 13, 2026). The heights for Guardians and Racers come from our ride data, and their Lightning Lane types match Disney's Lightning Lane page (read October 12, 2026). I did not re-read Disney's attraction pages for Guardians and Racers for this guide.

Whether a 3-minute ride is worth the wait is a judgment call, and I give mine in Mateo's Take below.

How tall do you need to be to ride Incredicoaster?

You need to be 48 inches (122 cm) or taller, per Disney's attraction page for this ride (read October 12, 2026). Disney's Pixar Pier page (read October 12, 2026) lists the same height requirement and tags the ride for teens and adults.

That is taller than every other line in the table above. A child who meets the 40 inch line for Radiator Springs Racers (per our ride data) or the 42 inch line for Grizzly River Run (per Disney's attraction page, read October 13, 2026) may still be under the line here, so measure before you plan the day around this ride.

If part of your group is under 48 inches, Disney's Pixar Pier page (read October 12, 2026) lists Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind and Jessie's Critter Carousel as Any Height, and Disney's own page for Toy Story Midway Mania (read October 12, 2026) lists Any Height too.

Is Incredicoaster Multi Pass, Single Pass, or standby only?

Incredicoaster is a Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction, per Disney's Lightning Lane page (read October 12, 2026). It is not a Single Pass attraction: Disney lists Radiator Springs Racers as the only Single Pass attraction at DCA, and says Multi Pass does not include Single Pass attractions.

It also has a standby line. Multi Pass starts at $35 per ticket per day, per Disney's Lightning Lane page (read October 12, 2026), and prices vary by date.

How do you book Multi Pass for Incredicoaster?

Disney's Lightning Lane page (read October 12, 2026) describes the steps:

  • Add Multi Pass as a ticket add-on before you arrive, or buy it in the Disneyland app after you enter a theme park, subject to availability.

  • Pick your first attraction when entering the park, and get the next available arrival window.

  • After you redeem a selection, or after 2 hours have passed since you made it, you can book your next Multi Pass attraction.

  • You can modify your selections in the Disneyland app.

  • Valid admission and a park reservation are required, and Disney says there may be days when sales are stopped.

Disney's page also says Multi Pass works at both parks on the same day if your admission includes Park Hopper benefits.

What should I know before riding Incredicoaster?

Our ride data lists four things to know: an extremely fast launch (0 to 55 mph in under 5 seconds), one inversion that is a vertical loop, sustained high speed throughout, and that the ride is not suitable for guests with heart conditions, back or neck problems, or motion sensitivity. Disney's Pixar Pier page (read October 12, 2026) tags it "Big Drops, Thrill Rides, Loud."

Per Disney's attraction page for this ride (read October 12, 2026), the ride has enclosed tunnels, special effects and scenes, plus a musical score by Incredibles 2 composer Michael Giacchino. The launch, loop and speed figures above are from our ride data, and I have not confirmed them on Disney's page, so treat them as our ride data, not a Disney statement.

Per the Safety, Accessibility and Guest Policies section of Disney's attraction page for this ride (read October 13, 2026), children under 7 must be accompanied by someone 14 or older, and Rider Switch is offered. Disney's warning asks guests to be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems and motion sickness, and says expectant mothers should not ride. Disney also says the seating and restraints may prohibit some body shapes or sizes, service animals may not accompany guests on the ride, and guests must transfer from a wheelchair or ECV to ride.

Disney's Single Rider Service page (read October 13, 2026) lists Incredicoaster.

When is the best time to ride Incredicoaster?

Our ride data's best-time note says rope drop or Multi Pass, because the wait climbs fast in the morning and stays high all day on busy days. Disney's Lightning Lane page (read October 12, 2026) says you pick your first Multi Pass attraction when entering the park.

I do not have an hour-by-hour wait chart for this ride, so I am not going to invent one. Compare the live wait in the Disneyland app before you choose between standby and a Multi Pass booking.

Tips From Our Ride Data

Our ride data lists these tips for Incredicoaster:

  • The front row provides the best open-air experience with unobstructed views of the launch acceleration.

  • The back row gives more airtime on the hills and curves.

  • At night, the ride's lighting effects are more visible and the Pixar Pier views are beautiful.

  • The 48-inch height requirement is higher than most Disneyland Resort coasters, so plan accordingly.

  • The second launch in the tunnel is often the surprise highlight for first-timers.

Who is Incredicoaster for?

Our ride data lists tweens, teens, adults, thrill seekers, Disney, Pixar and Marvel fans, and families, and marks the ride as not suitable for kids or toddlers. Disney's Pixar Pier page (read October 12, 2026) tags it for teens and adults. In practice that means families whose children clear 48 inches.

The Ride in Plain English

Incredicoaster is a launched steel roller coaster that our ride data lists as opening in 2018 with a ride length of 3 minutes. Per Disney's attraction page for this ride (read October 12, 2026), it sits in Pixar Pier's Incredibles' Park neighborhood and follows the Incredibles as they chase baby Jack-Jack through enclosed tunnels and special effects.

Where is Incredicoaster in the park?

Disney's Pixar Pier page (read October 12, 2026) describes Pixar Pier as a whimsical waterfront boardwalk where Pixar stories and characters come to life. Nearby, the same page lists Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Jessie's Critter Carousel, Games of Pixar Pier and dining like Lamplight Lounge and Poultry Palace. Our DCA food guide covers where to eat across the park.

Mateo's Take: In my opinion, Incredicoaster is the best coaster at the Disneyland Resort, and the launch is the reason to ride it. If everyone in your group is 48 inches or taller, take a Multi Pass booking and ride it early instead of gambling on standby. If you only get one coaster ride on your trip, I would ride it once more after dark, since our ride data says the lighting effects and Pixar Pier views are better at night.

Skip it: In my opinion, don't spend a Multi Pass booking on Incredicoaster if anyone you would book for is under 48 inches. Pick a ride the whole group can share, like Toy Story Midway Mania. Disney's guest-policy section for this ride lists Rider Switch (read October 13, 2026), so ask a Cast Member how it works for your group before you decide.
