About this ride
Pirate ships hang from an overhead track, giving the sensation of flight as you drift over a sparkling miniature London and into Never Land. The ride's charm is undeniable — but its low throughput means the line builds to 70+ minutes on most days and the ride is over in under 3 minutes.
Best time to ride
Use Multi Pass — never wait standby for Peter Pan unless the wait is under 20 minutes. Visit right at rope drop, or in the final 15 minutes before park close.
Insider tips
- Use Multi Pass. This is the most important use of your Multi Pass passes.
- The London cityscape in the middle of the ride is the money shot — look straight down.
- If your child is under 5 and loves Peter Pan, their reaction to the flying sensation may be worth any wait.
What to know before you ride
- Very mild sensation of flying.
- Brief darkness.
- Nothing genuinely scary.

Mateo's Take
Peter Pan's Flight is beautiful and the standby wait is almost never worth it on a standard day. That is the hard truth about one of the most beloved rides in Disneyland. The pirate ship flying over a sparkling miniature London is genuinely magical. The moment you pass over that city model is one of the most purely Disney experiences in the park. But the ride runs under three minutes, the throughput is brutally low, and the standby line reaches 70 to 90 minutes on busy days. The math just doesn't work. My strategy: Multi Pass Peter Pan every single time. If Multi Pass windows are unavailable, consider whether the standby is worth it against your other priorities. For families visiting with a child under five who loves Peter Pan, the reaction at that London flyover moment can justify almost any wait. For everyone else, Multi Pass it or accept that you might not ride it this trip.

Pirates of the Caribbean is the original Disney dark ride masterpiece — the one that set the template for everything that followed. Walt Disney himself oversaw its creation, and it opened in 1967 as the last attraction he personally supervised. You drift through moonlit bayous and into a chaotic port town under siege by buccaneers.

Jungle Cruise is Disneyland's original opening-day comedy boat ride — a live skipper-led river tour past animatronic wildlife where the puns are the point. No height requirement, no Lightning Lane, and one of the best morning rides in Adventureland when paired with Indiana Jones.
