DreamWorks Theatre Featuring Kung Fu Panda is a motion-simulation attraction in the Upper Lot, per the Ride Type and Location on Universal's attraction page (read October 17, 2026). Universal's press release names the 2018 version "DreamWorks Theatre featuring 'Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor's Quest.'" Per Universal's attraction page (read October 17, 2026), guests join Po, Mr. Ping and Master Shifu on a perilous mission to deliver the Liquid of Ultimate Power to the Emperor. Universal's 2018 release (read October 17, 2026) pairs the 180-degree projection with "sweeping physical effects from water to wind" and "fully articulated seats that pivot and swivel in tandem with the 180-degree action." Universal's rider's guide (v2026.04, read October 17, 2026) lists "Seats vibrate during show" and describes "seat movement that includes sudden tilting, shaking and jarring actions." Best Time to Ride
In my opinion, it works best as a seated break between bigger rides rather than a priority stop on a packed day. Check the posted wait in the Universal app when you arrive.
The Thrill Factor: 4/10
No drops, no launches — this is a seated motion simulator, not a coaster. The intensity comes from the moving seats and sensory effects, not anything physically aggressive, and stationary seating, available, removes even that.

Per Universal's rider's guide (read October 17, 2026), guests wishing to experience seat movement must transfer into the seat either independently or with assistance from a companion. The guide also says guests must be able to transfer with assistance from another member of their party, that Attraction Team Members may not assist, and that all seats at the end of the rows have been modified to aid with transfer.

Not for, in my opinion: guests seeking real thrills. Also not for, in my opinion, anyone highly sensitive to motion simulation who does not use stationary seating.
Sarah's Take
I'll be honest, this isn't why anyone should be booking a trip to USH — but it's a solid, well-produced attraction that does exactly what it sets out to do, and stationary seating, which Universal's rider's guide says is available (read October 17, 2026), makes it easy for a mixed group to share. Just take the motion sickness warning seriously if that's an issue for you, and don't make this a priority Universal Express stop when there are bigger rides in the park actually worth the shorter wait.
